Childcare Course Bendigo: CHC30125 Certificate III Studied Online

Before anything else, you will need a Working with Children Check. It is the one thing that has to be in place before you can set foot in a service for placement, and it is worth starting the application early because nothing else in the course depends on you. The rest of this childcare course is CHC30125, the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, which The Performance College delivers online with live Zoom classes to students in Bendigo and anywhere else. Domestic students take 6 to 9 months. Ring 03 9008 4043 to talk it through.

The Performance College, RTO 46069

We are a registered training organisation, RTO 46069, and a CRICOS registered provider, CRICOS 04180C. The qualification is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework, so it holds its value with any employer and in any state.

Rekha Sehrawat founded the college in 2023, after years as a trainer and assessor watching capable students struggle for want of support rather than ability. We have 100+ domestic graduates so far.

The campus is Level 5, 398 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne CBD. The full credential list is on the Melbourne aged care course page.

Start With the Working With Children Check

A current WWCC is required for your work placement in a regulated children’s education and care service. That is not our rule; it is the condition of being in the room with children at all.

Apply for it before you enrol if you can. It costs you nothing to have it ready, and it removes the most common reason a student’s placement gets delayed.

What the Course Covers, and How Long It Takes

CHC30125 is the recognised entry qualification for early childhood work. Domestic students finish in 6 to 9 months.

The teaching runs online through live Zoom sessions. Those are timetabled classes with a trainer in the room, so you ask your question and get an answer rather than emailing it and waiting a day. There is no recorded-lecture backlog to work through alone.

For a Bendigo student that removes the trip into Melbourne, which is otherwise the thing that quietly makes study impossible around a job.

You will need a computer and an internet connection that will hold a video class from beginning to end.

International students study on campus in the Melbourne CBD, and those intakes run to set dates.

Your 160 Hours in a Real Service

CHC30125 requires 160 hours of supervised work-based training in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia. The hours are counted collectively across the units that call for workplace time.

We arrange your placement and have partner sites across Victoria, so you are not phoning centres yourself hoping one has room for a student.

Placement is the piece that runs on someone else’s roster, so raise your availability at the enquiry stage rather than after you have enrolled.

Early Learning Centres Around Bendigo

Bendigo has a substantial early learning sector for a regional city. Village Early Education and Aspire Early Education both run centres here, G8 Education operates in the area, and Creative Garden has a Bendigo service.

Centres of that kind are where Certificate III holders are employed, across long day care, family day care, preschools, kindergartens and outside school hours care. That range is worth knowing: the qualification is not only a path into one type of room.

Fees and Funded Places

The course is $2,500 for domestic students. Enrolment is a further $250, and placement assistance is included in both.

Instalments are monthly or quarterly, with no interest and no additional charges. The fee is simply divided.

Victoria funds subsidised and fee free training places at approved providers for eligible students, and Bendigo has publicly funded options. Check whether you qualify before enrolling anywhere, ourselves included. We are a fee paying provider, which is the reason the instalment plan exists.

Bendigo Questions

How long does the Working With Children Check take?

It varies, which is exactly why you should apply before you need it rather than when placement is being scheduled.

Do I have to travel to Melbourne?

Not for classes. Domestic teaching is entirely online. Only the 160 placement hours happen in person.

What do I need to enrol?

You must be 18 or over when the course begins, with Year 12 or an equivalent, or a 12 month qualification completed in English. Every student sits a short language, literacy and numeracy assessment first, which tells us what support to arrange. International students also need IELTS 6.0 or an accepted equivalent.

Where can I work afterwards?

Long day care centres, family day care, preschools, kindergartens and outside school hours care.

Is there a free childcare course in Bendigo?

There are subsidised and fee free places in Victoria for students who meet the criteria. Check your eligibility first. Ours is fee paying, with an interest free instalment plan.

Getting Going

Two things can happen in parallel: apply for your Working with Children Check, and find out whether a funded place is open to you. Neither costs anything, and both are quicker to sort now than halfway through.

Ring 03 9008 4043 or email info@tpc.edu.au. Domestic study is online, and with intakes every month except December the next start date is always near. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
