Who Is This Course For?
Domestic students looking to advance their career in early childhood education and care. Graduates will be qualified to support children’s wellbeing and development in the context of an approved learning framework, and take on leadership and management responsibilities in childcare settings.
This qualification is ideal for those working in long day care centres, family day care, preschools, kindergartens, or outside school hours care (OSHC) who want to progress into senior educator, educational leader, or centre director roles.
Where This Qualification Takes You
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, the following applies:
Suitability Assessment
TPC will assess your skills and capabilities to determine your suitability for this course. This includes a pre-training review to identify your training needs and any prior learning.
Work-Based Training
You must complete at least 160 hours of work-based training in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia. The total hours may be applied collectively across all units requiring workplace hours.
Working with Children Check
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for your work placement in a regulated children’s education and care service.
Technology Access
As this is an online/Zoom course, you will need a reliable internet connection and access to a computer or laptop to participate in online learning and complete assessments.
